Emperor Caligula

Before TNF

Emperor Caligula has been in New Eden since March 2006, which makes him one of the longest-serving capsuleers on the TNF roster. He started in the School of Applied Knowledge, the Caldari starter corp, and the first few years were a run of player corps: Euphoria and Co., Thundercats, Endless Dynasty, Havoc Inc, Pink Bunnies, Bambooule, Dark Cartel, The Ensemble, Carebear Poachers plc, Black Rainbow Knights, Sacred Templars and NailorTech Industries. Between each one he came home to Deep Core Mining Inc., the NPC corp that appears again and again in his history.

In January 2011 he joined The Greater Goon, and that December moved to Dreddit, where he flew until late 2013. He went back to Dreddit in December 2016 for a second stint that ran to 2018. After that came Deep Core Mining Inc. once more, a short stop in Deadspace Excavations from November 2024, and then, in April 2025, The New Federation.

Joining TNF

He first flew with TNF in April 2025 and has been one of the most consistent names on TNF killmails ever since. He was a regular in the PvP channel through summer 2025, posting kills and sharing the credit freely: one went to MontyGTV for “being a crafty crock.”

He also turned up wherever newcomers were being greeted. Through the winter growth spurt of 2025 and 2026 he was one of the pilots who “kept the welcome GIFs coming” (Word Gets Around), and one welcome turned into a vocabulary contest with Aralo Meza after Pict1on offered a newcomer a single word over sixty letters long.

In the fleet

The big ones started early. On 6 November 2025 he was on a Keepstar, about 193 billion ISK, alongside Atreus Minmatarius, Motty 007, Phoebe Prime, Sllice, xXchochiXx and others. On 13 December he was on an Avatar titan, about 181 billion ISK and the kill of the month for that quarter, with Atreus Minmatarius, Killjoy Ender, Tamanade and more.

January 2026 brought his biggest single kill on the record: a Keepstar worth about 255 billion ISK on 13 January, a kill he shares with Killjoy Ender, Kloria, Harrat, Odysemus and a long list of corpmates. That same month the record shows dreadnoughts falling: a Zirnitra on the 13th, and on 10 January another Zirnitra, a Revelation and an Archon carrier.

March added a Lif force auxiliary and, on 28 March, a Valravn worth about 10.9 billion ISK alongside a third Zirnitra. Then came April 2026. On the 25th he was on the Avatar titan, about 142 billion ISK, that became April’s kill of the month, giving him two titan kills of the month in five months. Three days later he was on another Keepstar, about 180 billion ISK, with Atreus Minmatarius, Frost Ikkala, Judas Aralius and PalmarSiamang53.

That month also gave him the line that opens this page. After the record-breaking battle covered in “Oh Yeah, I Was There”, his summary was: “that fleet was so fun, i actually only spent 12 hours in fleet and i got on 5 kill mails.”

By the numbers

• 4,023 kills on the TNF record, past the 100, 500 and 1,000 kill marks
• On kills worth more than 3.3 trillion ISK combined
• 27 solo kills
• 50 ship classes destroyed

On the detailed record since October 2025, cruisers lead (203), with battleships close behind (186) and capsules third (147). The Maelstrom is his most frequent victim hull, 103 of them. Fighters show up in force too: 93 light fighters, including 53 Gram Is and 30 Einherji Is. And there is a curious line of 97 shuttles, Caldari and Amarr mostly.

The jokes

Emperor Caligula is one of the corp’s reliable sources of comedy. When he poked fun at the quiet hauling channel in September 2025, Motty 007 replied by inventing a division on the spot: “TNFED Overt Unified Cargo Haulers, or TOUCH as we like to call it” (Haulers, Suitcases and Shopping Trips). A mining ping got “oh a fleet ping, that’s nice. i think i might join you fellows for a nice round of ice mining” (Ice, Marbles and Bubbles). In September 2026 the corp got fair warning: “prepare yourself corp, im going on an expedition to capture kiljoy in the field.”

When Sllice topped the monthly kill chart in September 2025, he thanked Emperor Caligula for “taking a break so I can catch up”. Emperor’s reply: “all hail Sllice”.

Where he shines

Beyond the killboard, he shares what he knows. For corpmates chasing bigger escalations, his tip in Crabbing in Catch was to run them for a few hours and “daisy chain them.”

He is also a maker. In October 2025 he finished a long personal project live on stream, then cut a video of it for the corp. His advice for anyone editing video is pure craft: drawing it out beforehand and having it on paper “is the difference maker” (Faces of TNF: The Veteran, the Quartermaster and the Edger).
