Harrat

Some corporations are built around a killboard. Some are built around a wallet. The New Federation was built around a promise, and for more than twenty one years the pilot who made that promise has been Harrat.

Harrat founded TNF in May 2005, back when nullsec was a frontier and most corporations did not survive their first winter. TNF did. It outlived alliances, wars, expansions and two decades of New Eden reinventing itself, and through all of it Harrat kept coming back to the same idea: a corporation should be a family first and a fleet second. "We are TNF, a family united in space" is not an inherited slogan. It is the line Harrat wrote.

Real Life First, lived

Every TNF pilot hears it on day one: Real Life First. It would be easy to treat that as a nice sentence on a rules page. Harrat did not. When life called last year, Harrat stepped away to put faith and family first, and made sure the corporation would not drift in the meantime. Kloria took the chair as steward, the directors held the line, and TNF came out of that year stronger than it went in: one of the biggest groups in Sigma Grindset's AT team, at or near the top of the alliance killboard, and the corporation Sigma calls when something needs doing.

That is what a founder builds when it is built right: a family that holds together even when the founder is not in the room.

The return

On 8 October 2026 Harrat took the CEO seat again, with a clear message from the first line: this was not a return to keep the seat warm. The return letter laid out the plan in plain terms. More fights, together, on a set schedule, with the industrialists and ratters brought along rather than left behind. Mumble as home, not just a fleet channel but the place where the family actually hangs out. Recruitment reopened, PvP first, with a promise every new pilot can hold TNF to: into a fleet and onto comms in their first week.

Then came the part most leaders skip. Harrat started talking to people, one by one, asking what they love, what bugs them and what would get them logging in more.

The engine behind the new TNF

If something in TNF changed this autumn, Harrat was the reason. Harrat has been the driving force behind the biggest rebuild the corporation has ever had:

• A home for every member. New tools inside TNF's Auth for onboarding, buddies, check-ins, a living handbook and a Code of Conduct members actually read, so no pilot falls through the cracks.
• A face for the world. This website, the pilot profiles that celebrate the people who make TNF what it is, and a newsroom that tells their stories.
• A recruitment push built on honesty. TNF is looking for veterans and returning players who want to stay for years, and for the right new players willing to commit to the long haul. No inflated promises. A seat, a fleet and people who will have your back.
• Discipline where it counts. Harrat insists the corporation shows its pride without showing its hand. Celebrate the people, guard the rest.

What Harrat is building

Ask Harrat what TNF is for and the answer is never about ISK or sovereignty. It is about the pilot who logs in after a rough day and finds friends already on comms. It is about veterans who have flown together for years and new faces who will still be here in five. It is about a corporation where people know each other by name.

Twenty one years in, Harrat is still building it.
