Frost Ikkala

Before TNF

Frost Ikkala has been in New Eden since January 2014. He began in the Science and Trade Institute starter corp and that summer moved to Volition Cult, with Caldari Provisions as the NPC home between player corps. In 2016 came Lab 23, a brief stop in Ciggy Butt Brains., and then Lab 23 again from June 2016, where he stayed for nearly seven years.

Joining TNF

In April 2023 Frost found The New Federation, and he has been here ever since: 1,288 days in a single unbroken stint, one of the longest tenures among current members.

Faces of TNF: The Quiet Ones and the New Ones calls Frost the pilot who is always up for the call. In June 2025, with big fights on the calendar, he was in the PvP channel rearranging his plans around the fleet: “maybe I will try to go and sleep now to get on CTA.” When Pict1on delivered the fight, Frost’s review was one word: “gigachad.”

In the fleet

The record shows 524 kills on the TNF record, on kills worth more than 1 trillion ISK combined.

2026 brought the biggest wrecks. On 18 February he was on a Keepstar worth about 216 billion ISK. On 25 April he was on the corp’s kill of the month, an Avatar titan worth about 142 billion ISK, with Aidon Star, Emperor Caligula, Motty 007, PalmarSiamang53, Tamanade and xXchochiXx, and on a Phoenix dreadnought the same day. Three days later came a second Keepstar, about 180 billion ISK.

The smaller fights count too. On 15 February he was on an Eos command ship and a Devoter heavy interdiction cruiser. On 28 March he was on a Zirnitra dreadnought worth about 6.6 billion ISK, together with two Damnation command ships (one, two) and an Apocalypse.

By the numbers

On the detailed record since February 2026, battleships top the victim list by a distance: 76 of them, 59 of those Maelstroms, with 11 Apocalypses behind. Heavy assault cruisers come next at 19, every one a Zealot. Add 8 cruisers, 7 command ships, 4 logistics cruisers, 2 citadels and 2 dreadnoughts, 128 kills in 2026 on the detailed rows.

Milestones

• First flew with TNF in April 2023
• 1, 2 and 3 years in TNF

Where he shines

Showing up, and appreciating the people who help. When a group of members pooled their knowledge into a shared ratting guide in July 2025, Frost was among the quiet readers who chipped in a thank you for tips they had not known (Crabbing in Catch). He has been waving new members in, often with a GIF, ever since.
