Every corp has its loud voices and its quiet engines. This edition of Faces of TNF goes looking for a few pilots who keep the place ticking: a recruiter who never stops recruiting, a newbro who asked all the right questions, two Icelanders who make every fleet louder and a returning pilot who got straight to work.

xXchochiXx: the one who brings friends

When xXchochiXx landed in February 2026, Kloria greeted him with a simple "NOW HE'S HERE!" His reply set the tone: he warned that he "may have some sheep following me".

He was not joking. Days later Odysemus welcomed Janwaar back to Sigma Grindset "with xXchochiXx's encouragement", and in September 2026 a returning pilot joined on the recommendation of chochi and Janwaar. His own welcome to that one: "Yes man welcome back, only asked like 15 times if you're coming back."

Between recruiting drives he is a busy industrialist. In August he spent a weekend chasing pyerite for a build (with Lex Ashwari-Thrace lining up a big stack of it for him), offered his spare build materials to corpmates at a friendly price, and in September celebrated a long-awaited planetary industry sale: "finally my pi sold". His plan for the proceeds? "More isk for random pew pew ships."

His standout public kill is an Avatar titan on 25 April 2026.

Janwaar: back from the break

Odysemus rang the bell for Janwaar on 8 February 2026: fresh from a short break from EVE and back in Sigma Grindset thanks to chochi's nudging. Janwaar answered with the classic "o7", and later passed the welcome forward himself with a "Welcome back pal" for the next returning pilot he had helped recruit.

He settled in quickly on the killboard too. Highlights from his first spring: a Lif force auxiliary in March 2026 and a pair of black ops battleships on 16 March, a Panther and a Redeemer.

oli Padecain: asking the right questions

Odysemus introduced oli Padecain in January 2026 as a newbro "fresh from High Sec", eager and motivated. Tamanade was first in with a welcome, and Pict1on checked in a few days later: "all good? you finding your way around ok?"

oli turned the mentorship channel into his classroom, and every corp is better for pilots like that. He asked what to do with a pile of blueprint copies, how the corp buyback works ("assume I know nothing"), and, in March, the question every recruiter wants to hear: "So what's the easiest way to get into the PvP aspect of this corp?" He had trained up his cruisers over the holidays and promised to join the next fleet, "available all evening".

By autumn he was asking for tips on finishing tough PvE escalations, and on 27 September 2026 his name was on the Avatar titan and the Sarathiel dreadnought killmails. From "what's the buyback?" to a titan kill in eight months.

Frank Yeager: a lateral move that stuck

Frank Yeager transferred in from another Sigma Grindset corp in January 2026. SadisticSloth got the first word in ("welcome to the madhouse"), and Odysemus noted that, already being in SIGMA, Frank "knows the song and dance".

Within days he was out with Odysemus on a corp mining op, then asking about the corp referral bonus and wondering who had come before him. He also put money where his mouth was, asking the PvE crowd for help fitting up to hunt the big NPC dreadnought spawns.

His public record shows Phoenix Navy Issue kills in June and July 2026.

MontyGTV: hype man, SKIN designer, Viking

If a fleet ping needs volume, MontyGTV is your man. In July 2025 he greeted a Pict1on fleet ping with enthusiasm and rallied the Icelandic contingent with pings like "vikings assembling" and "valhalla". Pict1on's verdict after a night of fights in August 2025: "@MontyGTV @AmoriA GREAT couple of fights duders."

He also has a creative side. In December 2025 he shared a set of his own custom SKIN designs ("been dabbling in this for a bit"), and he was one of the early organisers of the TNF Fanfest trip, offering to sort out local merch and stickers and posting Icelandic northern lights photos to tempt the visitors.

STOP THE COUNT! As you may know, we already have about 3% of the Icelandic population in the corp.

AmoriA: the machine

When Cirrus Constitution posted a strong week on the corp leaderboard in November 2025, he added a warning: "Anyone that overtakes AmoriA is doing well. The guy's a feckin machine." With 2,801 public kills, the numbers back him up.

AmoriA does not just show up, he makes content. In October 2025 he organised a stealth bomber evening for anyone willing to skill into one, and Pict1on thanked him for an earlier round: "Thanks to @AmoriA for the content." In December he invited everyone to join "me and the Icelandic boys" on the side for some faction warfare.

His biggest public kill is an Avatar titan on 13 December 2025, worth about 182 billion ISK, alongside a Bane lancer dreadnought in November.

GuardianNomu: helpful from week one

GuardianNomu arrived in November 2025, a friend of miki Terona. Killjoy Ender and Motty 007 were quick with welcomes and offers of help.

He hit the ground running. A day in: "Already got to shoot some stuff." A week in, he admitted he kept getting pulled off his own plans "because I always stop what I'm doing to help". We will take that trade every time.
