Ringing in 2026 with Violence: TNF Deploys to Metropolis

Some alliances ease into a new year with resolutions. Sigma Grindset announced it would be "ringing in the New Year with violence."

On January 5, 2026, Odysemus passed the word to TNF: the alliance was deploying to Metropolis. Combat characters were to head over and set up jump clones1, with fleet ships available. For newer pilots he added a practical tip: train Infomorph Synchronizing toward level five, because a shorter clone timer means answering fleet pings faster. There was also the usual ladder of ships to work towards, in order, with corp help along the way.

Two days later Odysemus welcomed Adama Kanjus, a long-time PvP pilot looking for "a forever home in a smaller PvP corporation." His welcome came bundled with the deployment warning and the two rules every TNF member learns first: "Don't be a Dick" and "Real Life First."

Gooooo

Then the fleets went out. On January 11, Kloria's ping to the whole corp was a single word: "gooooooooooooo."

That same evening Kloria shared something better than a ping. A message had gone round Sigma Grindset's leadership channel praising TNF's performance, and he wanted everyone to see it. His summary: "TNFED brings the heat every time. I just wanted to show you this that was sent in Sigma Leadership today. Just know your star shines."

For a mid-sized corp in a big alliance, that kind of shout-out does not come often. It came because TNF pilots kept undocking. If you missed the last deployment, catch up on the drone regions campaign.

New Year's resolution status: violence achieved. Gym membership still unused.
